Andrew Turner, the Island’s MP, today paid tribute to Brian Mosdell who died yesterday morning.
Cllr. Mosdell had served as the Councillor for Newchurch since June 2005. Although originally elected as a Conservative he had more recently sat as an independent councillor.
Mr Turner said:
“Brian was an honest and independent man with a great deal of personal integrity. He always spoke his mind and wasn’t afraid to ask difficult question. He will be missed not only by his family and many friends, but also by those he crossed swords with from time to time. He was very kind when I was ill and I shall personally miss his humour and sincerity. He worked very hard to represent the people of Newchurch. I extend my sincere condolences to Shirley and his daughters Jane and Claire and his wider family.”
